I created a new TikTok account and had the unfortunate chance to start fresh there. The standart feed shows the most popular videos so it can evaluate my preferences and then show more of it, in order to lock me in as much as possible. Time spend on the platform in the ultimate goal of all these huge corporations, for sure that's not unknown. Having scrolled on the feed for sometime injected me with depressive thoughts. We may as well call these platforms the ultimate representation of the Seven Sins. Far, far, far too much of it that a human being can healthily handle. Anyway, I want to keep it because my wife likes to occasionally send me videos she finds funny. But I always remind her to be cautious and not spend too much time on that doomed platform.
